Our Mission and Vision

Modern Roots Acupuncture is a family practice.  Megan and Rory met in Acupuncture school, and continued their studies together in New York City and San Diego, before settling down with their two Children on Long Island and then Saugerties. Their mission is to be of service, to help people feel more comfortable and at peace, and to give back to the community that they are a part of. Megan and Rory’s wish for every patient who walks through the door is that they feel heard and understood, as well as healthier and more balanced having experienced Acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

Modern Roots places a large emphasis on integrative medicine, with a strong referral network of local independent medical providers (including mental health counselors, massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, nutritionists, doulas, lactation consultants, and midwives).  This ensures that their patients are able to receive well rounded care.

Our goal is to maintain and build upon the relationships we have with our patients, and to continue to serve our community. Our wish for every patient who walks through our doors is that they feel healthier and more balanced having had acupuncture with us.
