Co-Founder of Modern Roots Acupuncture
Rory is a New York state licensed acupuncturist, a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York and the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. He earned his Master's degree and doctorate in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Rory applies a holistic approach to patient care. He incorporates acupuncture, traditional herbal formulas, cupping, meditation and nutritional therapy into comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient and their needs. Rory believes in treating patients constitutionally - rather than focus exclusively on symptoms, he works to correct underlying imbalances directly. The benefits of this style are long term relief.
Rory studied many treatment styles within Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Five element Acupuncture, in addition to Japanese acupuncture techniques. He has experience treating patients in both California and New York including treating addiction in a community setting at the Fortune Society. He is particularly passionate about Chinese herbalism. Among other things, Rory has experience treating chronic pain and discomfort, digestive disorders, autoimmune disorders, and psychological conditions.

Megan is a New York state licensed acupuncturist who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Anthropology from Ithaca College and Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, dividing her studies between Manhattan and San Diego.
Megan's passion is in treating women’s health. She specializes in helping women with their unique fertility journeys and supporting them through all stages of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She has had the pleasure of helping couples conceive children naturally, as well as provided complementary support alongside western interventions such as IVF and IUI. Megan also treats gynecological conditions, menstrual irregularities, and symptoms of menopause.
She designs a unique treatment plan for each patient using a variety of healing modalities including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion, and cupping. Megan is dedicated to helping others feel well and to being of service to the Saugerties community.
